SPRING 2022 QUARTER COURSE CANCELLATIONS

Unfortunately, our office has received notice and have been directed to cancel the following courses:

  • MUS 14 - Contemporary Music (4 units)
  • MUS 173 - Electronic Music Production and Composition (4 units)


CHANGE OF VENUE

Our office recently sent an interest form for an annual honors event hosted by Revelle College. Unfortunately, there has been a change in venue and this event will no longer be held in-person and entries for participant interest are no longer being accepted.

Triton Days 2022 - Volunteers Needed



Triton Days are fast-approaching and your help is requested!


  • Video Recording Support - More student extras are needed for Triton Days videos. Filming will take place on campus on February 22nd (8AM and 3:15PM) Please email Kristin Scheiber if interested (kscheiber@ucsd.edu).


  • Video Recording Support - More students are needed from 8:30AM-9:00AM on February 28th for the Triton Life video. Students would need to be in a student organization referenced in the video. Please email Kristin Scheiber if interested (kscheiber@ucsd.edu).

REMINDERS

FIRST PASS STARTS TOMORROW



First pass starts tomorrow, Saturday, February 12th. You can enroll in up to 11.5 units.


If you do not enroll during your first pass appointment, you will need to wait until your second pass appointment.

ArtPower Alumni Panel: Where My Studies and Experiences Have Led Me is on Wednesday, 2/16, featuring alumni, including those with a background in the Arts & Humanities and will cover career topics, their on-campus work experience, perspectives on different career paths, and options for on-campus work with ArtPower.

Day in the Life of L.A. Emmy-winning TV Director and Entrepreneur is on Thursday, 2/24, featuring alumna Marci Klein with Klein Creative Media. She’ll share her personal story, shed some wonderful insight, plus internship opportunities with her business.

Campus Ambassador Hiring

A special recruitment will be taking place to hire more tour guides this upcoming spring. The job will post on Handshake in March to hire by June for summer training. Feel free to reach out to Triton Center Manager, Maria Salgado (msalgado@ucsd.edu) regarding your interest or to get questions answered.

Italy Percussive Arts Society (PAS)

Italy PAS has announced that they will hold two events online for 2022 (1) Italy Percussion Competition for Percussion soloists and (2) Percussive Arts Web Contest for Duo and Percussion Ensemble.

Sacramento Region Community Foundation Scholarships

In 2021, the Foundation awarded over $1 million in scholarships to more than 400 students. The scholarship awards range from $500 to $8,000 and may be used for tuition, fees, and educational expenses at accredited academic colleges or universities and vocational training programs.
