An evening concert exploring themes of self abandonment and morality through the removal of symbolic objects and attachments. Interconnected with recorded and spatialized music concréte from Hong Kong, each ritual examines the performer as an object of study. Through this project I challenge my conceptualization of the self through undergoing a series of ritualized performances, leading towards a form of self abandonment. The concert features two large form pieces by Kaija Saariaho, Bun Ching Lam (set-up percussion),  James Tenney (large gong), Globokar (self) & Xu Yi (Vibraphone + setup percussion). This project graciously indebted to the work of Spencer Duff (Theatre), Rose Sun (Computer Music), Julia Cordani (Performance) & Daniel Cui (Composition).
