The Arcades: After Hours is an extension of The Arcades music festival, created in collaboration with DVC (Deejays and Vinylphiles Club). Beginning at 8 PM, this late-night event shifts the focus to DJ culture, featuring a lineup of student DJs in a high-energy, immersive setting. 

Inspired by Boiler Room–style performances, After Hours places the DJ at the center of the space, creating a 360-degree environment that encourages movement, interaction, and connection. The intimate setting allows the music to take priority, fostering an atmosphere where audiences can engage directly with the sound and the energy of the crowd. 

Like the festival itself, After Hours is entirely student-run and highlights undergraduate talent at UC San Diego. With a focus on electronic and hip-hop sounds, the event creates space for DJs and genres that are often underrepresented on campus. Designed as a space to dance, socialize, and experience music collectively, The Arcades: After Hours invites attendees to end the night on a high note.
