Double bassist and composer Andrew Crapitto presents his first DMA recital featuring three original works alongside pieces by James Dillon and Toshio Hosokawa. At times pushing the extremes of technical virtuosity on the instrument, and at others unflinchingly spare and restrained, this program explores the range of expressive possibilities on the double bass. With fixed media by Charles Deluga, and Camilo Zamudio on percussion.
