My speech floating in veils features pieces by the composers Akari Komura, Estefanía Lambuley, Wilfrido Terrazas, Juliana Ortigoza, and Natalia Merlano Gómez. All the pieces are written for voice and electronics and explore different voice approaches, allowing the performer to improvise and experiment. These compositions touch on various topics, including meanings and metaphors behind everyday observations, women's resilience, and the power of voice to create, express, and heal.
